Quant Analyst Internship

As a Quant Analyst Intern within the Quant, Efficiency & Data (QED) team at Van Lanschot Kempen, you join a highly motivated and skilled team at the intersection of quantitative finance, financial modelling, and analytics - with real ownership from day one. Our Quant Analyst Internship gives you the opportunity to develop your potential to the fullest.  

You will work closely with portfolio managers, traders and quants across Treasury, Investment Management, and Risk Management respectively, on problems that are both technically challenging and financially meaningful. The scope of your work and the stakeholders you engage with will vary continuously, giving you broad exposure and plenty of room to keep learning. You will have the opportunity to influence your own scope of work, in order to develop skills in- and outside your comfort zone. 

Your responsibilities include: 

• Developing quantitative analytics and decision-support tools for internal stakeholders 

• Contributing to in-house pricing models and risk management systems 

• Building data solutions end-to-end: from database design to user-facing tooling 

• Taking ownership of your components within larger projects 

Your talents

You have a strong technical foundation and the drive to apply it in a financial context. You are independent, precise, and not afraid to ask the right questions.  

Qualifications: 

• You are in the final stage of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent 

• Excellent programming skills in Python; experience with SQL, Git, or MATLAB is a plus 

• Strong numerical and analytical ability 

• Good command of English, written and spoken 

• Available full-time for a minimum period of 5 months
