At Van Lanschot Kempen, entrepreneurship, expertise, and client- and solution-oriented thinking are at the heart of how we work. This is also how we approach Business Continuity Management (BCM): an area of expertise that we use to safeguard the continuity of our operations for our clients and across our products, banking solutions, and activities at all times.
You will be eager to put your talents to work as a Business Continuity Coordinator at Van Lanschot Kempen. As part of the Van Lanschot Kempen Group Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) function, you support the entire organisation in maintaining and improving BCM. Within NFRM, you work with colleagues in the Information Risk Management team in the BCM risk domain. You support the business and BCM coordinators, including by improving the quality of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), delivering crisis training, and preparing crisis exercises together with the relevant departments. Naturally, you also ensure risk-based BCM policies, methods, and techniques, and their alignment with the laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions.
Furthermore:
You provide input and contribute to preparing the overall annual BCM plan.
You ensure that all activities required under the annual plan are scheduled by those responsible, and you monitor their timely completion.
You report quarterly to the Business Continuity Committee on the progress of these activities.
You identify new developments within and outside VLK that are relevant to BCM, analyse them, and propose how to respond to these developments.
You monitor developments in relevant laws and regulations, such as DORA, and ensure that gap analyses and action plans are prepared so that VLK remains compliant.
You ensure that the escalation matrix and Crisis Management Team (CMT) information are kept up to date, and that the appropriate people are notified directly in the event of incidents at VLK Group/CMT level.
Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for periodically training crisis teams and their members and conducting exercises, both at Crisis Management Team level (senior management and the Executive Board) and Crisis Support Team level (operational crisis teams).
You are responsible for managing and keeping all BCM documentation up to date at VLK Group level.
Your talents
You have strong communication skills and are analytical, flexible, collaborative, and results-oriented. That is the best way to describe you as a Business Continuity Coordinator. You use these talents to guide our clients through a constantly changing world every day—by thinking ahead and asking the right questions. In addition, you have:
At least five years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a corporate organisation and/or financial services provider.
At least a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking, preferably with a BCM certification (BCI, DRI, or ISO 22301 auditor/practitioner).
Preferably, knowledge of and experience in process management and IT.
Strong command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
