Analyze and visualize opportunities in the fast-growing euro credit market. Contribute to building smarter tools that enhance market transparency and support investment decisions. Work alongside experienced investors in Amsterdam and Antwerp on real portfolio challenges.

As a Working Student at Van Lanschot Kempen, this is where you’ll apply your talents. The credit market is more technical and less transparent than the equity market. In this role, you will help further develop and improve our data visualization tools and systems. You will also support the team with insights, applications, and data that contribute to more and better substantiated trade ideas.

Additionally, you will be involved in:

• Operating as a full-fledged member of the team

• Developing new functionalities within our in-house data visualization tools

• Identifying and integrating new data sources that can generate trade ideas

• Developing additional features within Bloomberg Quant

• Using well-known AI tools to support your daily work

Your talents

Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a rational mindset best describe you as a Working Student. You use these talents to guide our clients through a constantly changing world every day, by thinking ahead and asking the right questions. This fits well if you are eager to learn and can combine creative thinking with strong quantitative skills. You feel at home in a content-driven, data-focused environment and quickly grasp new concepts.

In addition, you:

• Are pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance, Econometrics, Economics, IT, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field

• Have an affinity with and interest in financial markets

• Have knowledge of Python and SQL; experience with Microsoft Azure and Tableau is a plus

• Comfortably use common AI solutions to support your work

• Have strong command of English, both spoken and written

The Credit team at Van Lanschot Kempen invests in investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds and manages a portfolio of €4.5 billion in assets under management. The team consists of eleven experienced investors with diverse backgrounds—seven colleagues based in Amsterdam and four in Antwerp. The focus is on euro-denominated corporate bonds, with fundamental research, credit analysis, and active portfolio management at its core.
