As a Junior Cyber Security Specialist within the White Team, you will be responsible for maintaining security standards and monitoring compliance with the defined requirements, assessing possible exceptions to these standards, and conducting information risk assessments on third parties. Additionally, you will provide security consultancy to internal stakeholders to support them in implementing and optimizing security processes. Possibly by helping them translate relevant legislation and/or requirements from our supervisors (regarding cyber security) into specific actions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain and implement security standards.
  • Manage and assess exceptions to the security standards.
  • Support in conducting information risk assessments on third parties.
  • Provide security consultancy to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the CISO in drawing up periodic reports on cyber security risk.
  • Performing control activities that are part of our IT control framework.
  • Provide support on tools that are implemented and maintained within the White Team.
  • Provide information to clients about cyber security.
  • Becoming a linking pin between the IT Security and other departments within the organization.

There are several skills that will help to thrive in our environment, where the most important mission is to safeguard the assets and information of our clients through a constantly changing world every day. Those skills are:

 

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in Cyber Security.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in IT security and/or information risk management.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with frameworks, best practices and regulations regarding cyber security.
  • Familiarity with security technologies and methodologies.
  • The ambition to grow as a security professional by completing several certifications.
  • Analytical, decisive, and able to effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders and building relationships.
  • A "challenger" mentality with the ability to keep processes and configurations up-to-date from a security perspective.

 

In addition to the above, it is highly desirable to possess knowledge and comprehension of generic IT concepts like network technology, cloud services, Windows and Entra ID.
