As a Senior .NET Developer in the Nexus Team, you will help build the foundation for future digital solutions within our Private Clients business.

The Nexus Team is responsible for developing an Operational Data Store (ODS): a central data platform that brings together information from multiple source systems, standardises it, and makes it available for applications across the organisation. By creating a consistent and reliable data layer, we enable development teams to make better use of data. While this is a Senior .NET Developer role, the focus is primarily on backend development.

This is a highly autonomous role in a lean team. You will not only build solutions, but also help shape the future of the platform. You will work in a complex environment where business processes, applications and data models come together.

Your responsibilities

Design, build and maintain services and applications on top of the Operational Data Store

Develop backend functionality and integrations using C# .NET and Azure SQL

Help migrate functionality from existing APIs to the new data layer where appropriate

Integrate and standardise data from multiple source systems

Contribute to the evolution of the data model and platform architecture

Work closely with business stakeholders, architects and development teams to understand requirements and identify opportunities for improvement

Investigate complex data and application landscapes and propose solutions that balance business and technical needs

Take ownership from analysis through implementation

Your talents

As a Senior .NET Developer, you are independent, analytical and proactive. You enjoy working in an environment where not everything is defined upfront and where discovering the right solution is part of the job.

In addition, you have:

At least 5 years of experience with C# .NET development

Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases

Experience building integrations between systems and applications

Experience working with Azure-based solutions

An affinity for data modelling and complex data structures

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience working in Agile teams
