Private Banker Asset Management

Create your own future

Are you ready to join our Special Asset Management Team and assist clients facing financial difficulties? We specialize in finding and securing acceptance for sustainable financial solutions for our business and private clients. We offer you a challenging role in a dynamic work environment, where you will also play a key role in advising on business credit lending.

As a Special Asset Management Banker at Van Lanschot Kempen, you will leverage your talents to manage your own portfolio of private, business, and real estate clients with financial issues. Finding and securing acceptance for solutions is a significant challenge that requires analytical skills, persuasive power, communication skills, creativity, and style flexibility. You will operate in a tension field between client interests, bank interests, and social responsibility. Precision is crucial due to the legal implications of your actions and omissions, as well as the reputational risk for the bank.

Additionally, you will be involved in:

  • Maintaining contact with clients and their advisors
  • Actively advising involved bankers on credits under the supervision of Asset Management
  • Advising approvers on business credit positions
  • Preparing and assessing credit applications and treatment plans
  • Actively monitoring credit usage and client business operations
  • Advising and securing acceptance for (restructuring) measures
  • Making decisions in consultation with the insolvency lawyer and approver about terminating credit facilities and realizing securities
  • Proposing credit provisions to be made

Your talents

While experience in credit lending and knowledge of financial products and regulations are important, we highly value your competencies. You are communicative, analytical, and solution-oriented. You use these talents to guide our clients and advise your colleagues. By thinking further and asking questions, you arrive at tailored solutions for our clients' financial problems. You work in a structured manner, take initiative, and know how to connect with clients and colleagues.

Additionally, you have:

  • At least a completed higher professional education (HBO)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience advising entrepreneurial clients on their private and business financing issues
  • Preferably relevant experience in business credit analysis and approval
  • WFT diplomas in Basic, Mortgage Credit, and Wealth, or are willing to obtain them
  • Good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written

With over 300 years of experience, we make this ambition a reality at Van Lanschot Kempen. We do this with around 2,000 colleagues across various expertise areas.

You will be part of the Credit Approval & Financial Restructuring and Recovery department and work in the Special Asset Management team, which consists of 13 colleagues. This team supports clients with increased (credit) risk.

Through an open attitude, objectivity, and a listening and critical ear, we build a productive client relationship, with attention to client and societal interests. Within the department, there is a strong focus on knowledge sharing and room for further professional development. Additionally, you are an important sparring partner for business credit lending issues for the Credit Approval team.
