Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer at Van Lanschot Kempen, you have the opportunity to work with enterprise-grade equipment from leading providers such as Palo Alto, Illumio, Infoblox, A10, and Aruba. You will contribute to our migration to Azure, working in a T-shaped and Agile manner, ensuring a balanced approach between project work and operational network management. This dynamic environment is what energizes you.

You will be part of a team of seven specialists dedicated to maximizing the uptime, security, and performance of our network infrastructure. By managing our network internally, you have the autonomy to make an immediate impact in an environment that handles €180 billion in client assets. Our focus on enhancing security is paramount, especially in the financial sector. Moreover, implementing a zero-trust approach and deploying Palo Alto Prisma Access are key examples of our commitment to security and will also be part of your role.

You also have the following responsibilities: 

  • Drafting improvement proposals for the (network) infrastructure
  • Performing various network related project activities
  • Managing and supporting internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Ensuring operational maintenance and monitoring of the network infrastructure at a high level.
  • Automating our work where possible

You are enthusiastic, have a broad interest and passion for the job. This is how we describe you best as a Network Engineer. These are all talents that you use to become an important part of the team.

Also:

  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience.
  • you have experience with the advanced features of Palo Alto and Cisco.
  • you know your way in Azure networking or in the networks of other cloud vendors
  • knowledge of Infoblox, A10 and Aruba is a plus.
  • Experience using a range of AI applications to support your professional activities.

  • A gross monthly salary between € 4.000 and €5.700, depending on your knowledge and experience plus an additional flexible budget of 19.47% of your gross salary (containing a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance & 7 extra legal leave days).
