As an IT Business Controller at Van Lanschot Kempen, you will put your talents to work. We are looking for an IT Business Controller who plays a key role as a financial sparring partner and provider of essential management information regarding our entire IT department. By taking ownership of the planning and control cycle for IT projects, you provide insight into the development of IT project costs. You are jointly responsible for IT cost reporting and for the correct allocation of supplier costs to internal clients.

As part of stakeholder management, you gather information from project managers to understand what lies behind our IT costs. With one foot in the IT organisation and the other in the business, you act as the bridge between our IT department and the rest of the organization.

Together with your colleagues, you are the face of our department and an important sparring partner for our IT stakeholders. In this role as IT Business Controller, you actively shape your own future while contributing to the realization of our organizational objectives.

Furthermore, you are engaged in:

  • Gaining an integral overview of all IT costs, identifying interconnectivities, and providing advice accordingly.
  • Preparing IT project budgets and monitoring and analyzing IT project costs.
  • Producing and delivering management reports and information for the Management Board and IT management teams, identifying opportunities and risks, and advising on these.
  • Working on improvements to current reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, enabling us to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Participating in cross-departmental and strategic projects, contributing input from your financial expertise.

Your talents

Enthusiastic, decisive, and communicatively strong—this is how we best describe you as an IT Business Controller. These are the talents you bring to act as the CFO for the IT department. To succeed in this role, you apply your analytical and stakeholder management skills.

In addition, you have:

  • An academic level of working and thinking.
  • At least 3 years of experience within the field, for example as a business controller, financial controller, cost controller, business analyst, or group controller.
  • An interest in IT and IT developments.
  • Affinity with and basic competencies in AI
  • A helicopter view, without losing sight of the details.
  • Good command of English and Dutch language, both spoken and written.

Finance, Reporting & Control is responsible for keeping the financial accounts and preparing financial and management reports. Within this department, the Control team provides management information to the Management Board and the management teams of all business units. The Control team is responsible for the planning & control cycle, prepares presentations of half-year and annual figures and the annual report, and participates in bank-wide projects such as acquisitions in which the controllers provide input based on their expertise. In this way, controllers act as the CFO for their respective areas of responsibilities.

  • A gross monthly salary between €4,600 and €5,800, depending on your knowledge and experience;
