HR Business Partner - Senior Specialist

The department is responsible for ensuring optimal staffing and collaborating in managing labor costs effectively. It provides professional and strategic support, services, and advice in the field of HRM, facilitating informed decision making for the management board and executives.

 

That is what you will use your talents for as a HR Business Partner at Van Lanschot Kempen. The HR Business Partner offers professional, strategic, and policy-oriented support, services and advice. As an expert in the field, they integrate multiple disciplines to provide holistic HR solutions. Operating in a broad and interdisciplinary domain, they advise management on planning and strategy (e.g., organizational plans, policy frameworks). Acting as a trusted advisor to senior management, they address complex multi-disciplinary challenges through an integrated approach and coordination. They recommend solutions to business issues, assemble and manage project teams comprising internal and external experts when necessary, and provide management insights. Their responsibilities also include articulating policy positions, preparing decision-making processes through compelling presentations, and leading specialized projects

 

You also have the following tasks:

  • Tactical/strategic HR advisory: provides guidance and support to senior management and executives on critical HR decisions.
  • Organizational development: designs and implements long-term strategies for talent management, succession planning and cultural transformation.
  • HR innovation: introduces best practices and innovative HR solutions to the organization.
  • Sparring partner & coach: serves as a mentor and advisor for HR professionals and business leaders, without direct hierarchical authority.
  • Project & program management: drives and influences major HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy and organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder management: collaborates with senior leaders, the board, and other departments to integrate HR strategies into broader business objectives.

They are entrepreneurial and self-driven, taking initiative on strategic HR topics and consistently seeking ways to improve processes and deliver meaningful results. Navigating complex organizational landscapes with ease, they build strong relationships and understand the political dynamics that shape decision-making. Through coaching and inspiration, they empower others, foster professional growth, and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing HR community, always leading by example. With a future-oriented mindset, they anticipate trends and position HR as a strategic driver of sustainable success and innovation. You also have:

 

  • Master’s-level education (WO) level with extensive experience (minimum of 3 to 5 years in HR Business Partner role for C-level.
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of subject and work domain.
  • Strong understanding of organizational policies, structures, and strategy.
  • Exceptional advisory and interpersonal skills for advising management/executive level.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
