Business Development Manager Private Equity

The Private Client Solutions department is responsible for the investment-related services and investment solutions to private and semi-institutional clients (associations & foundations and family offices) who outsource their asset management in whole or in part to Van Lanschot Kempen. We are involved in the entire investment process, from determining an appropriate asset allocation up to and including the implementation of the investments and communication to our clients. 

 

As Business Development Manager Private Equity you are responsible for the (further) development of the services in the field of Private Equity . You are responsible for the creation of the requirements for both the product range and the development of the right tooling for bankers and clients. You provide coordination with various departments such as IT, Operations and Compliance and are involved in the setup of new funds. In addition, you are responsible for the presentation material on Private Equity offerings and you can be involved in client and prospect discussions. 

 

The position may involve the following activities: 

  • Alignment of requirements with representatives of various customer groups for the purpose of (further) development of the Private Equity product and service roadmap ; 
  • The translation of customer demand and the input of Private Equity fund managers into concrete requirements for systems and tools ; 
  • Executively involved throughout the entire life cycle of a private equity fund including setup projects; 
  • The contact person for colleagues within departments such as Operations and IT; 
  • Preparing marketing materials and customer presentations; 
  • Involved in processes for clients and potential new clients for Private Equity related topics. 

Your talents

You have an affinity with investing in unlisted markets. You have strong analytical skills, are able to convey your ideas to your audience, see a challenge in new developments and seize opportunities. Above all, you are a team player. You have good quantitative and communication skills. Entrepreneurship, independence and drive are important core competencies for this position. 

 

Do you think you fit in with us and are you up for the challenge?

  • A university working and thinking level with at least 6 years of work experience, preferably in a wealth management or asset management environment; 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of investing, preferably supplemented with a completed CFA/VBA training; 
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate requirements with different stakeholders; 
  • Experience in formulating detailed process and technology requirements; 
  • Analytical, structured and customer-oriented; 
  • You are driven, solution-oriented and a team player who easily connects with colleagues; 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Dutch and English.
