The UK Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management team is paramount to the success of our business and we’re searching for the best candidate out there to join us. That is what you will use your talents for as an Associate in our UK fiduciary management team at Van Lanschot Kempen. You will be responsible for working with senior colleagues to advise, maintain and develop our relationships with pension funds and other institutional investors that have entrusted their asset management to us.

You will continuously improving our proposition to clients, including investigation, implementation and reporting of investments and services. You will learn the framework under which Van Lanschot Kempen’s clients both set and meet their objectives, investment strategy and policies (interest rate and inflation hedging, asset allocation, currency hedging, liquidity risk, counterparty risk, responsible investments and more), and produce materials to help clients understand market developments and ensuring that their strategy remains appropriate for the market outlook.

Your talents

Passionate, enthusiastic and hungry to learn across a wide range of investment situations. Think out of the box and ask questions. A strong sense of responsibility and integrity. And all will be well if you also can span the gap between technical knowledge/processes and the effective communication needed with a range of clients, trustees and consultants. Importantly, you are eager to make a real difference to client situations. You will also have:

1-3 years of relevant experience with UK pension funds from an investment/actuarial perspective.
A relevant degree and working towards the CFA or actuarial qualification is preferred (study support available).

A gross monthly salary between £55,000 to £65,000 annually. commensurate with your knowledge and experience.
additional flexible budget of 19.47% of your gross salary (containing a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance & 7 extra legal leave days) You can utilize this by buying a bike, monthly gym membership, but also to save up for a sabbatical! It’s also possible to get the full budget paid out at any moment in the year.
27 leave days of which 7 are part of the flexible budget.
Working from home equipment such as electric standing desk, chair, a number of screens of your choice can be ordered and sent to your home.
Customised leave arrangements for certain life events, such as grandparental leave, transition leave, bereavement leave, etc.
1 month fully paid when you take a sabbatical of 3 months or longer.
