Senior Portfolio Manager – Farmland Investment

That is what you will use your talents for as a Senior Portfolio Manager – Farmland Investment at Van Lanschot Kempen. As a senior leader within our innovative Farmland franchise, you will manage funds, originate new investments, and foster partnerships across the agri-food value chain. Your expertise will be key in shaping fund operations and strategic development—strengthening our position as a frontrunner in sustainable, regenerative agriculture.

You also have the following tasks:

  • Lead daily operations for existing and future farmland funds, including participating in investment committees and overseeing platforms 
  • Originate new deals, grow commercial networks, and build trusted industry partnerships to amplify impact
  • Collaborate in strategic planning with leadership to drive franchise growth and AUM targets
  • Engage with farmers, operators, and external experts to improve asset control and performance
  • Mentor and develop a growing team while supporting integration of ESG, biodiversity, and regenerative practices

  • Proven experience in fund management within private markets, natural capital, or farmland
  • A track record of nurturing and growing businesses, with a collaborative commercial approach
  • A well-developed network in agri-food value chains or private markets
  • Good mastery of English, both oral and written
