That is what you will use your talents for as [a/an] Modern Workplace Engineer at Van Lanschot Kempen. As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will work in the Workplace Platform team within the IT Workplace Services domain. Together with skilled and driven IT professionals, you are responsible for managing, improving, and future-proofing our global workplace environment.

You also have the following tasks:

  • Manage, maintain, and further develop our Modern Workplace environment using Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, Microsoft Defender, and related Microsoft 365 technologies.

  • Automate frequently recurring workplace management tasks using solutions such as CI/CD, PowerShell, Chocolatey, Windows App Catalog, Intune Win32 applications and other automation platforms.

  • Improve endpoint security, compliance, patching, and vulnerability remediation across the workplace environment.

  • Analyze and resolve complex third-line workplace issues within agreed service levels, with a focus on structural improvements.

  • Contribute to lifecycle management, application deployment, device provisioning, and the continued transition to a cloud-first Modern Workplace.

  • Integrating AI-driven solutions into your daily workflow to optimize processes and drive measurable results.

  • Identifying opportunities where AI can reduce manual effort, improve quality, or enhance end-user experience.

You take responsibility for technical challenges and follow through until a sustainable solution is in place and you identify improvement opportunities before they become operational problems. Collaboration is your second nature: you work effectively with colleagues across IT, security, infrastructure, and business teams.

By thinking out of the box and asking questions. And all will be well if you also have  an automation mindset, the ability to translate complex workplace challenges into scalable solutions and you do not wait for tasks to be assigned. You actively identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and take ownership of delivering results. You should be able to provide concrete examples of what you have technically achieved, such as automation, workplace security improvements, application deployment or endpoint management at scale.

You also have experience with:

  • Microsoft Intune and Modern Workplace management

  • PowerShell, automation, and application deployment

  • Endpoint security, compliance, and Windows 11 workplace engineering

  • Fluency in both Dutch and English is required, both oral and written.

  • a gross monthly salary between € 5000 and € 5900, commensurate with your knowledge and experience.

  • additional flexible budget of 19.47% of your gross salary (containing a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance & 7 extra legal leave days) You can utilize this by buying a bike, monthly gym membership, but also to save up for a sabbatical! It’s also possible to get the full budget paid out at any moment in the year.

  • 27 leave days of which 7 are part of the flexible budget.

  • working from home equipment such as electric standing desk, chair, a number of screens of your choice can be ordered and sent to your home.

  • customised leave arrangements for certain life events, such as grandparental leave, transition leave, bereavement leave, etc.

  • 1 month fully paid when you take a sabbatical of 3 months or longer.

  • your commute to work is compensated, including green options of walking and biking to work!

  • working from home allowance.

  • a free Van Lanschot Kempen bank account and other employee conditions, such as a discount on an Evi (investment) account.

  • a babysitting budget for working parents with kids in the age category 0 -12 years.

  • a market competitive pension scheme. The exact contribution is based on your salary and age, generally, most people can expect around 20% contribution, which 4% is employee contribution.

  • flexible working hours; you come to the office for team meetings or brainstorming sessions and work from home by mutual agreement.

  • up to 2 months of working from abroad per year. You have the option to extend your holidays by working remotely, by mutual agreement.
