IT Cloud - Internship

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our cloud platform team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced cloud technologies and contribute to the development and optimization of our infrastructure.

 

Our Azure platform is continuously in development. Within our infrastructure, the use of "on demand capacity reservations" in our Azure environment is playing an increasingly important role. However, managing these reservations is becoming more complex due to the many manual tasks involved. Therefore, we are looking for a way to automate this management as much as possible.

 

  • You will work on automating the management of capacity reservations in Azure. An important part of this process is our Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Your task is to ensure that all relevant changes in the CMDB (such as new virtual machines, changes to existing VMs, and the removal of unnecessary VMs) lead to a correct status in our capacity reservations in Azure as automated as possible.
  • We use Infrastucture as Code and Azure Devops as our versioning tool and deployments to Azure. Most management tasks are run by Azure Functions based on Powershell, but we are of course open for any enhancements. 
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and manage our infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage Azure Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate various tasks and processes. Most management tasks run by Azure
  • Functions based on Powershell, but we are of course open for any enhancements.

You have:

  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Experience or interest in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn PowerShell and/or Azure CLI, as it is a key component of our current design.
