Functional Application Manager- AFAS (24 hours)

Create your own future

Would you like to work in a role where you truly make a difference in the experience of all our employees? As a Functional Administrator AFAS (24 hours per week) at Van Lanschot Kempen, you are responsible for the stable and future-oriented management, optimisation, and further development of AFAS as our HR and payroll administration system. You actively gather requirements from the business, translate these into an efficient and user-friendly setup, and oversee the impact of both major and minor changes to ensure processes are optimally supported and continuously improved.

Alongside your focus on improvements within AFAS, you collaborate with other Functional Administrators who manage different HR applications.

At Van Lanschot Kempen, you are not just given a job, but a place where your ideas are heard, your energy is recognised, and your talents can flourish. In this role, your enthusiasm is valued and you actively help build the future of our applications and the organisation.

You also have the following tasks:

  • Actively engaging the right stakeholders in system optimisations and changes.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new HR applications or modules.
  • Managing and optimising other HR tools within the landscape (such as the recruitment tool, learning platform, and performance management).
  • Ensuring accurate and reliable data processing and continuously improving documentation.
  • Handling smaller user queries directly and approaching larger issues in a structured way using project-based or scrum methods.

This hybrid role involves a combination of remote work and onsite presence at our Den Bosch and Amsterdam offices.

Your talents

Analytically strong, strategically connecting, and taking ownership. This is how we can best describe you in the position of Functional Application Manager - AFAS. Talents that you use to guide our internal colleagues in a constantly changing world every day. By thinking out of the box and asking questions. You think beyond the initial request, ask the right in-depth questions, and oversee the impact of choices on processes, data, and systems. And all will be well if you also combine in-depth AFAS expertise with the ability to provide direction, set priorities, and deliver sustainable improvements.

You also have:

  • Extensive experience in the functional management of AFAS HR.
  • The ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders at various levels, actively involving them in changes and optimisations.
  • A strong sense of responsibility for the continuity, stability, and ongoing development of the AFAS HR application.
  • Experience using a range of AI applications to support your professional activities.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Not sure if you meet all the requirements? We still encourage you to apply. At Van Lanschot Kempen, we are always looking for people with different perspectives and experiences to strengthen our team.
