You will join the Third Party Monitoring team, which focuses on external asset managers and service providers appointed by our fiduciary clients to manage and administer their assets. The team plays an important role in onboarding new clients with service providers, monitoring operational set-ups and driving continuous improvement.

In this Expert role, you are the key link between Van Lanschot Kempen’s internal stakeholders, including Fiduciary Management, Portfolio Management, Manager Research and Selection, Data Management and various other departments, and our external service providers. You represent the interests of clients and internal stakeholders, safeguard service levels and proactively identify opportunities, including AI-driven improvements, to further enhance existing processes.

The role and responsibilities

In this role, you manage interactions with external parties on behalf of our clients, enabling them to focus on their strategic priorities. Reporting to clients on the performance of service providers and related activities is an important part of the role.

In addition, your responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the link between internal stakeholders, external asset managers and service providers on operational topics.

  • Serving as the first point of contact for service providers on behalf of our fiduciary clients.

  • Coordinating the onboarding of new clients and required services with custodians and investment administrators.

  • Managing relationships with service providers through service calls, service reviews, KPI monitoring, SLA maintenance, incident management and escalation.

  • Supporting WTP TOM integrations and ensuring that changes in laws and regulations are reflected in our services.

  • Identifying and exploring AI use cases to improve service provider monitoring, reporting and oversight processes.

  • Leading functional teams and/or projects where needed and acting as a trusted sparring partner for less experienced colleagues.

In addition, you have:

  • Extensive experience, preferably at least 10 years, in operations within institutional asset management and/or at a custodian.

  • A completed financial bachelor’s or master’s degree, a relevant higher professional education qualification or equivalent professional experience.

  • Demonstrable affinity with fiduciary management and investment solutions for pension funds and insurers.

  • Knowledge of and experience with the WTP value chain, combined with a good understanding of relevant market developments, particularly in the pension fund sector.

  • Confidence in assessing and applying new AI tools relevant to your field of expertise.

  • A good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

  • a gross monthly salary between €5,500 and €7,000, depending on your knowledge and experience.

  • an additional flexible budget of 19.47% of your gross salary, consisting of a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance and 7 additional statutory leave days.   • the option to exchange national public holidays for religious holidays.

  • a market-based pension scheme. The exact contribution is based on your salary and age; in general, most people can count on a contribution of around 20%, of which 4% is the employee contribution.
