Advance sustainable asset management across client groups at Van Lanschot Kempen. Work on change-related ESG activities with direct impact across Investment Management Clients. Collaborate with sustainability experts and investment teams to turn ambitions into practical progress.

That is what you will use your talents for as an Expert ESG Advisory at Van Lanschot Kempen. You will help drive the ESG Advisory team's strategic and tactical roadmap, contribute to sustainability policy creation and maintenance, and support IMC-wide active ownership activities. You will work closely with direct sustainability colleagues, investment teams and internal stakeholders, reporting to the Head of ESG Advisory.

You also have the following tasks:

  • Contribute to the execution of the ESG Advisory team’s strategic and tactical roadmap.

  • Coordinate IMC-wide ESG projects from planning to delivery, ensuring clear stakeholder alignment, practical progress and consistent implementation across client groups and investment teams.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on sustainability for the client groups and investment teams, with a focus on climate, biodiversity, social and governance themes.

  • Translate sustainability ambitions into practical initiatives and work with stakeholders across the business to implement the initiatives.

  • Steer, participate in and monitor IMC’s active ownership agenda, including voting and strategic and collaborative engagements.

  • Coordinate IMC-wide sustainability policy creation and maintenance.

  • Provide sustainability content for client reporting and marketing purposes and liaise with Corporate Sustainability to ensure alignment.

And all will be well if you combine a practical mindset with the ability to activate stakeholders and make change happen, even when priorities and deadlines compete. You also have:

  • 3–7 years’ work experience in sustainability and/or impact investing.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Good mastery of Both Dutch and English, both oral and written.

  • Confident in evaluating and adopting new AI tools relevant to your field.

The ESG Advisory Team is part of Business Management IMC, the asset management arm of Van Lanschot Kempen. The team focuses on change-related ESG activities within IMC and on ongoing sustainability activities relevant to all client groups, working closely with sustainability colleagues and investment teams across the value chains.

  • a gross monthly salary between €5.500 and €7,000, commensurate with your knowledge and experience.

  • additional flexible budget of 19.47% of your gross salary (containing a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance & 7 extra legal leave days) You can utilize this by buying a bike, monthly gym membership, but also to save up for a sabbatical! It’s also possible to get the full budget paid out at any moment in the year.

  • 27 leave days of which 7 are part of the flexible budget.

  • a market competitive pension scheme. The exact contribution is based on your salary and age, generally, most people can expect around 20% contribution, which 4% is employee contribution.
