As a Business Advisor, you advise family businesses and engage closely with the directors or major shareholders behind the enterprise. You manage your own client portfolio and will further expand it in the coming years. Your daily activities include topics such as succession and control, family governance, financing, and risk management. In this role, you operate at the intersection of business and personal matters, identifying opportunities for your Private Banking colleagues and the Investment Bank.

 

You are eager to leverage your talents as a Business Advisor at Van Lanschot Kempen. Within the team, you collaborate with multiple Business Advisors. Additionally, you work closely with private bankers in our North-East region. They serve the entrepreneurs personally, and together you provide comprehensive client service. Market development is done in close cooperation with these colleagues, but you are also capable of independently acquiring new clients. Business lending is an important part of your daily activities. You conduct analyses and prepare credit applications.

 

Furthermore, you are involved in:

  • advising clients on various issues relevant to family businesses maintaining contacts with different influencers and intermediaries within your work area
  • commercially promoting Van Lanschot Kempen within your network
  • building long-term client relationships
  • improving our approach based on feedback received from our clients
  • actively contributing to the objectives of our Private Bank

Your talents

Analytical, sharp communicator, collaborative, and eager to learn. These are the qualities that best describe you as a Business Advisor. You use these talents to guide our clients through an ever-changing world every day. By thinking ahead and asking the right questions. This is particularly useful when you can place problems in a broader context and translate them into clear advice, taking into account the personal and business interests of the entrepreneurs you advise. You are quick to adapt to digital tools, hands-on, and driven to successfully position this proposition in the market.

 

Additionally, you have:

  • at least a completed higher professional education (HBO)
  • a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in the financial sector, including some experience in advising entrepreneurial clients
  • experience in analyzing business balance sheets
  • the willingness to obtain all necessary professional certifications
  • good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written

The current team of Business Advisors consists of 8 members and is looking for a new Business Advisor with the talent and motivation to further develop. The position is focused on the market area in the North-East Netherlands, with Apeldoorn as the base location.
