UX Design Engineer – Internship

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Design & Research team as a User Experience (UX) Design Engineer. In this role, you help shape and scale our design system: turning UX patterns into reusable, accessible components that work for both designers and developers. You will work closely with designers, researchers and front-end teams on real client-facing products. 

You also have the following tasks: 

• Collaborating with the UX team to design and develop reusable UI components and patterns in Figma; 

• Creating and maintaining design documentation and specifications for our design system; 

• Assisting in usability testing and user feedback sessions to validate components and patterns; 

• Keeping up to date with the latest design, design-system and front-end trends, including AI-powered tools. 

Your talents

Creative, structured and technically curious. You enjoy switching between design and front-end and like to make things consistent, clear and reusable. You are result-oriented and have a hands-on mentality.

In addition: 

• Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in UX design, interaction design, (front-end) development, industrial design, or a related field; 

• Strong understanding of UX principles and experience with Figma; 

• Experience with HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript; 

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills; 

• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from senior designers and developers; 

• Proven interest, and hands-on experience, in AI tools to accelerate or improve the design and/or front-end process; 

• A portfolio and/or GitHub/CodePen highlighting your design work and/or front-end experiments and thought process; 

• You are people minded and eager to learn; 

• You are available between 32 to 40 hours per week for at least 5 months; 

• You have good mastery of English, both oral and written.
