As a Data Modeler within the Data Management department, you enjoy working with data. You find it important to categorize and model data correctly. Further optimizing the Corporate Data Model and collaborating with the Data Owner and Data Stewards are key parts of your daily tasks. Additionally, you promote the use of the CDM and act as a sounding board for teams within and outside the department. In short, you are the central figure for everything related to data. In your work, you have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own initiatives. The lines within our organization are short, allowing you to truly make a difference with us!

You gladly use your talents as a Data Modeler at Van Lanschot Kempen. You are adept at analysing business requirements to understand and translate them into clear data requirements. The topics are diverse, such as financial reports for regulators, risk models, anti-money laundering modules, credit reports, or reporting sustainability features in a dashboard. Our data users come from across the entire company, resulting in a great variety of tasks. This includes:

  • Modelling our Corporate Data Model through discussions with key stakeholders
  • Setting up definitions and metadata
  • Creating data attributes
  • Implementing data quality rules based on the developed data strategy and monitoring their correct execution

Your talents

Curious, good listener, and focused on collaboration. That's how we best describe you as a Data Modeler. Additionally, you have:

  • At least 5 years of work experience.
  • Extensive experience with analysis tasks.
  • Knowledge of the SQL programming language.
  • Experience with modelling a corporate data model is a plus.
  • Experience at banks or investment institutions is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.(knowledge of the Dutch language is not mandatory but would be an advantage)

The Data Management department is part of the Digital, Advanced Analytics & Technology (DAAT) cluster. DAAT has more than 400 employees who play a central role within the organization. With the DAAT departments, we are building a world-class technology platform for asset management.

Data Management consists of approximately 60 colleagues divided into 7 different teams, each with their own focus. Together, the teams are responsible for the realization, testing, and management of the data warehouse. The roles within the department are very diverse, ranging from DWH Developer to Data Architect, from Administrator to Product Owner. The teams start the week together, often enjoying a Brabant (vegetarian) sausage roll or a Bossche bol. We regularly have a drink, and the FunStuff team organizes sports and culinary activities.
