As Behavioural Risk and Compliance Training Expert at Van Lanschot Kempen, you will be a key member of the Compliance Office & Change team, within the Compliance department  Compliance promotes ethical practices within our organization, aiming to ensure that all employees understand and adhere to our code of conduct, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. The Compliance office and change team advises the organization to promote employee integrity. In addition, it supports the internal processes of the Compliance function in the areas of policy management, contacts with supervisors, internal governance, training & awareness and various change initiatives.

You have a key role in promoting ethical behavior within our organization. You are responsible for the further development, design, and implementation of methods that helps us understand what influences employee behavior (for example based on the conduct drivers framework) within Van Lanschot Kempen, as an extension of our code of conduct. We believe training and awareness is key to support a culture of integrity. Together with the Compliance office team, you will also focus the compliance training & awareness program for our employees. We strive for a learning organization by actively entering into dialogue and understanding what is going on within the organization. You are the linchpin and work closely with various departments to strengthen the organization by ensuring the connection between hard and soft elements of our compliance and risk management framework.

You are responsible for:

  • Proactive risk management: further developing and implementing the framework for identifying, assessing and advising about risks associated with employee behavior, in collaboration with other teams within the Compliance function.
  • Maintaining the compliance training and awareness program. You collaborate with various content experts within the Compliance function, the business and other stakeholders to ensure continuous education of employees about regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and the importance of integrity in their daily activities.
  •  Maintaining policies and procedures related to employee integrity and behavioral risk, as well as compliance training, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in promoting ethical behavior and mitigating risks.
  •  Keep up to date with market developments in behavioral risk management and compliance training & awareness programs.
  •  Develop a data driven approach to your  area of responsibility; analyze data, trends, progress of risk mitigations and effectiveness of compliance training and, follow up with stakeholders.

You are passionate about people and enjoy building relationships and collaborating with various team. You have strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and influence stakeholders. You can analyze data, identify trends and understand the underlying causes of behavioral risks, with a hands-on and can-do mentality. In addition, you have:

  • A completed relevant university degree, preferably in the field of behavioural sciences.
  • Min 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within compliance and/or risk management and/or financial services.
  • Solid knowledge of market practice on behavioral risk and experience in designing and delivering training & awareness programs.
  • Experience in developing a soft controls (conduct drivers) framework, conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
